As well as continuous training and development, both on-the-job and at college, you’ll get amazing perks like access to onsite gym facilities, CSR opportunities and a competitive salary. You’ll make lots of new friends too – both at our regular social events and residential team building trip to Derwent Hill, taking part in a range of outdoor and problem solving activities like gorge walking, orienteering and raft building. Download our brochure to see our schemes and follow us on Facebook for regular updates. Please note: NMUK has a zero tolerance approach to the misuse of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. We carry out pre-employment testing for the use of drugs and alcohol during the recruitment process. Should you fail the drugs and alcohol test, your application will not be progressed, any offer will be withdrawn and you will not be employed by NMUK.

LIFE AS AN APPRENTICE IN SUNDERLAND

Apprentice life is invigorating and exciting at Nissan. You will find yourself part of a team working together to shape the future of automotive mobility, driven by the shared goal of ongoing innovation and improvement. It’s not all work and no play – you’ll have opportunities to make friends, get involved in community projects, attend team-building sessions and social events too.

THE APPRENTICESHIP SCHEMES

Our apprenticeship schemes typically range from two to five years. They include both on and off-the-job training, combining theoretical and practical skills to prepare you for your role and future career with us.

Each scheme has its own entry criteria, aligned to the skills required for the challenges of that particular scheme so it’s important you pick one that aligns with your passions and goals.

All of our apprenticeship schemes offer full-time, paid employment, with some schemes also offering overtime and shift allowances. We believe in rewarding hard work and, depending on your performance, you could be awarded a salary increase after every six-month appraisal. You’ll also get 26 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) and a uniform provided.
