Your CV

Your CV is the perfect place to showcase your education, work experience, characteristics and key achievements, both in the workplace and during other extra-curricular activities. So, make sure to sell yourself and stand out from the crowd. Use your personal statement to grab our attention and show us why you would be perfect on our NMUK Graduate or Placement Programmes.  Remember not to write lengthy prose or an essay though, the best applications for us are the ones that are straight-to-the-point and allow us to easily identify your key points.  Your ability showcase yourself succinctly and effectively is a skill in itself!

Your Application

Here are some tips to help you create a great application:

  1. Use a professional, business-like typeface.
  2. Stick to one format with equal spacing.
  3. Include your professional email address for us to contact you.
  4. Avoid cringe-worthy quotes or an overly casual tone.
  5. DO NOT use clipart to illustrate a point (it has happened!)
  6. Use the 1st person to refer to yourself.
  7. Keep your CV under 2 pages in length.
  8. Make sure to use spellcheck to avoid typos and grammatical errors!
  9. Use business formatting and bullets where you think they will help us clearly identify the points you are highlighting.
  10. Be sure to reference the advert and job information to tick off that you have answered what we are looking for.
