INBOUND: Liaising daily with renowned logistics providers to design and engineer innovative and cost-effective global logistics solutions. We then distribute the warehouse parts once they reach Nissan; planning and collaboration with Plant Material Handling ensures the smooth in-flow of parts to the factory.
PROJECT & COST REPORTING: Managing new model projects and developmental cost-reporting for UK, Spain & Russia. This is completed against the backdrop of a competitive manufacturing environment, which demands the right cars are allocated to the right plants with the right level of profitability.
OUTBOUND: Responsible for the delivery of vehicles from all production sources to final dealer locations across international overseas markets. The Outbound team oversee more than 50 logistics providers to ensure we deliver to all customers.
As a Supply Chain Management & Logistics Graduate, you will be working within one of the following key areas:
- Inbound Part Logistics: working with logistics providers to design and engineer innovative and cost-effective global logistics routes
- Warehousing & Regional Material Handling: managing inbound parts once they reach Nissan, Sunderland.
- Overseas Chief Project Logistics & Cost Reporting Group: managing new model projects and developmental cost reporting for the 3 European Nissan manufacturing countries
- Outbound Logistics: responsible for the delivery of vehicles from all production sources to final dealer locations across Europe and certain overseas markets.
You will help identify, develop and execute highly-efficient logistics solutions, meeting the quality, cost and delivery needs of the key internal stakeholders and customers. You will actively benchmark with internal and external organisations, including those outside of the automotive environment.

In this department, you will be responsible for managing the outbound and inbound supply chain of Nissan. The department’s main objectives include quality management and the delivery of the right cars, at the right place, in the right time.
During your time with us you will have responsibilities such as managing and improving our processes, monitoring supply quality performance and supporting vehicle enhancement trials. To ensure Nissan continues to deliver innovation to its business and customers, you will actively benchmark with internal and external organisations, which will not only be limited to the automotive environment.
