£11,590 per annum (£222 per week)

The Scheme:

To become a Trainee Administrative Assistant it is a 2-year apprenticeship scheme that provides thorough training for nationally-recognised qualifications. Developed in conjunction with NAC and a local college, it combines both theoretical and practical skills. You will gain a valuable insight into aspects of administrative work in connection with automotive manufacturing, learning the skills and knowledge to work as a member of a team providing administrative support to departments such as Human Resources. During your Trainee Administrative Assistant Apprenticeship you'll combine off-the-job training at a local college and on-the-job training in our Sunderland plant.

What you'll achieve at the end of it:

Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration (Level 2 and Level 3)

NVQ in Business and Administration Level 2 and Level 3

Nissan in-house training courses

Who can apply for the Trainee Administrative Assistant Apprenticeship

You'll need at least 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English Language and two other subjects (preferably IT).

You'll also need good typing skills, effective verbal and written communication and be very well-organised. Willing to learn and happy working as part of a team, you'll also be flexible and a good time keeper. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint would be an advantage and you should be aged over 16 and below 22 at the start of the apprenticeship.
