To become a Maintenance Technician it is a 5-year scheme that has been developed in conjunction with NAC and Local Colleges. It combines both practical and theoretical skills. You will gain a valuable insight into all aspects of automotive tooling manufacture, tool maintenance, machining and CADCAM. (DIE Maintenance – tool maker/machinist).​​

Salary of £13,501 increased every six months (based on performance) to a maximum of £31,995

Entry requirements – 4 GCSE grades or equivalent (achieved or predicted)

  • Mathematics (Grade A/B or 6+)
  • English Language (Grade A-C or 4+)
  • Science-based subject (Grade A-C or 4+)
  • One other subject (Grade A-C or 4+)
  • Level 2 Apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Level 3 Apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Level 3 Manufacturing & Engineering Mechatronics Maintenance Technician
