In iFA (Integrated Factory Automation) there is an opportunity for a skilled electrician/technician from a maintenance or installation background. You’ll work to specifications and perform the in-house manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of automation equipment. Responsible for productivity improvement projects the iFA department deliver bespoke engineering solutions. By designing, building, installing, and commissioning from concept to handover we provide the business with solutions to improve competitiveness.   • Educated ONC level or above
  • Time served Electrician OR Electrical Technician

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicles), robotic loading/unloading systems, transportation equipment or operator tooling.
  • Using wiring diagrams and additional documentation to build panels, install cabling (power, multi-core, and communication) or other electrical systems.
  • Complete Inspection, testing and commissioning of any equipment produced.
  • Identify electrical issues, carry out fault finding and resolve any problem.
  • Ensure all work is carried out both efficiently, safely and to the required schedule.
  • Working within the department as part of a team or alone to deliver key.
  • Communicate technically with both workshop and engineering personnel.
  • Working on PLC control systems (Omron, Siemens etc), training to be provided if required.
  • Install pneumatic equipment, training to be provided if required.
  • Undertake and complete any other job specific training required for role.
