At the heart of Powertrain is the energetic, fast–paced Casting operation which is a 24-7 production environment with a variety of machines & processes. The Casting Plant currently manufactures cylinder heads for the latest small gasoline turbo engines for Nissan and Renault vehicles built across Europe. We take in ingots of aluminium alloy and output more than half a million high strength, high precision components each year.

The company now wants to appoint a high calibre Maintenance Supervisor who will focus on planning and delivery of maintenance schedules, OEE and safety improvement works and support productivity/new model introduction within this critical production area. The role involves the supervision and control of a maintenance team, creation and monitoring of schedules, management of revenue budgets as well as working closely with the production and support departments in the achievement of increased productivity, improvement of OEE and cost reduction activities.

Mission and Main Objectives:

To lead and develop a team of Maintenance technicians in Powertrain – Castings Maintenance supporting the departments key objectives and new model installations.

Outline and Responsibilities:

Development of a Maintenance Team within the shop
The implementation of Maintenance controls and reporting systems
Daily use and development of Strong Management tools & practices
Promote and strengthen cross functional team activities
Accountability for shift performance and team development
Support the installation and commissioning of new model facilities
Experience and Qualifications Required:

ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Strong Maintenance background
Good communication and organisational skills
Time served apprenticeship
Aluminium LPDC or Foundry experience advantageous
