Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description

Our QA team is the driving force behind our exceptional quality standards

Working collaboratively with teams throughout the Nissan entity and across the global supply network, our QA team is the driving force behind our exceptional quality standards for Nissan products and manufacturing procedures.

Nissan has a strong culture of continuous improvement in everything we do. You will work daily to influence existing processes and manufacturing methods to meet our KPIs of Quality, Cost, Time and Delivery – delivering the data, insight and recommendations for selection of appropriate solutions.  At the same time, you will collaborate with the best in cross-department Nissan talent to identify, specify and install new equipment and processes that ensure our ongoing commitment to continuous quality enhancement.

You will enjoy responsibility for your zone from day one, tackling problems and tasks using your own unique approach.  As a conduit between multiple departments, you will operate in a highly diverse, fast-paced environment with daily challenges to solve across our in-house vehicle production operations.

You will get the chance to develop best practices and cost efficiencies both in your daily work and project involvement.  You will work at the forefront of new technology in the automotive sector including automation of inspection processes, high capability and innovative measurement techniques alongside regulatory conformity of production obligations.

International/Domestic Project Involvement

No two days will be the same here at Nissan, with involvement in projects and supplier initiatives meaning international travel may be a part of the role. Collaboration is entrenched within the Nissan culture, with everyone working to build solutions for the future, meeting and solving challenges together as one team in an open and transparent atmosphere.

Leading-edge programmes such as our EV36Zero electrification programme and transition to electrified power trains give daily possibilities to get involved in new developments and technology.  You will participate in new model projects all the way from concept development to identification of manufacturing processes to ensure optimum Quality, Cost, Time & Delivery.

Daily Working with the Latest in Global Technology

The introduction of our dedicated Digital Hyper-Competitiveness programme is taking the latest in world technological developments in hardware, automation, AI, R&D, wearable tech and AR/VR to improve our efficiency and competitive position on a global scale.  As a Nissan QA Engineer you will be exposed to using these technologies.  The future of Nissan is huge and embracing the very latest in tech is a focused part of our strategy to stay at the forefront of automotive innovation.
