‘As part of the Kaizen team, you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with colleagues throughout the Nissan team to use your skills, knowledge, and creativity in making vital improvements to the production environment.
From simple repairs to existing facility, to the development of new ideas, you will have the opportunity to see these brought to life, generating improvements across many aspects of the production cycle.
Apprenticeship overview:
The Kaizen apprenticeship scheme has been specially developed by Nissan in conjunction with a local college to combine theoretical and practical skills. You’ll split your time between college and working as part of a team responsible for producing innovative solutions for our manufacturing operations.
Your first year will be spent at college full-time before the exciting work starts at our plant. During years two and three you’ll work full-time, spending one day per week on day release at college, and four days at the plant where you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge whilst building world class experience.
What you’ll need
Entry requirements – 4 GCSE grades or equivalent (achieved or predicted)
• Mathematics (Grade A-C or 4+)
• English Language (Grade A-C or 4+)
• One other subject (Grade A-C or 4+)
Ability to commute to and from Nissan Sunderland Plant SR5 3NS

Applicants must be 16 or over at the start of the apprenticeship. The recruitment process is carried out at Nissan Sunderland Plant SR5 3NS and you must be prepared to attend assessments as required.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and proof will be requested during the selection process.
