Message from a Maintenance Technician
‘I had no idea the journey I would take after embarking on my maintenance technician apprenticeship with Nissan. You’ll be given all the necessary academic, hands-on skills and, most importantly, support from experienced technicians as you develop through the 5-year program. Learning all the practical and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in a fast-paced dynamic environment.’
Apprenticeship overview:
This is a 5-year scheme, that’s been specially developed by Nissan in conjunction with a local college which combines theoretical and practical skills. You will gain valuable insight into all aspects of automotive and manufacturing maintenance. You’ll also acquire the skills and knowledge to work as a member of our team maintaining the production facilities at Nissan.
In your first year, you’ll complete off-the-job-training full time at college. The remaining 4 years will be spent both on day release at college and full-time in the plant where you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge whilst building world class experience.
What you’ll need
Entry requirements
4 GCSE grades or equivalent, including:
• Mathematics (Grade B/C or 5)
• English Language (Grade A-C or 4+)
• Science-based subject (Grade A-C or 4+)
• One other subject (Grade A-C or 4+)
Certificates will be requested, if your grades are predicted we will ask for these once you have your exam results.
You must be over 16 on the 1st September 2024
Must be able to travel to and from Nissan Plant SR5 3NS
