Paint Shop provides some key operations to the vehicle manufacturing process to complete the overall look of the vehicle body. Delivered by a mix of automation and our expert workforce, it’s an exciting place to be with a wide range of sections to try your hand at – all while experiencing unbeatable camaraderie and teamwork.
Sam loves the camaraderie and culture of support he’s found at Nissan. The teamwork is second-to-none and people have always been willing to help him. And it’s not just his immediate colleagues who have been there for Sam. He managed to raise an impressive £1,500 for a fundraiser after people he’d never met before showed their support. Sam’s enjoying his current role but hopes to add to his skills with new experience in further projects and areas, and of course, to make even more new friends.
In Paint, our Manufacturing Staff undertake a wide variety of roles. Depending on the area you are assigned to, you could be applying sealant and anti-corrosion coatings, carrying out vehicle and bumper paint spraying, programming our advanced robots, quality checking, or refinishing and repairing, as well as maintaining your workstation, tools and jigs.
We train and trust our teams to do the jobs they love. Paint is no exception and employees here enjoy being able to use their own initiative to carry out repairs and offline working when required, managing the floor and working independently.
