One of our most challenging manufacturing areas, the Body Shop is the place to be for people who relish both the challenges and lifelong friendships that comes from working in a busy collaborative environment. Make no mistake, the pace is fast and you’ll need resilience and drive to succeed. But those who rise to the challenge, as a manufacturing operative will be met with opportunities and teamwork that are second to none.
A mainline shop, Body Shop receives pressed metal panels from press shop and manufactures the vehicle body at pre-paint stage. Sub-assembly lines feed automated mainlines, which directly supply the manual metal line where cover parts are fitted.
As a manufacturing operative you could be working on a number of different tasks, including parts load, parts fit, quality confirmation, inspection, robot programming and metal repair. Lateral moves into Maintenance and Engineering are there for those who show the aptitude and motivation.
