If you are already part of our NMUK family and wish to apply for a new position within careers at Nissan you have come to the right place to learn more information. To start the internal recruitment process, you will need to apply through the WIN system rather than the standard online application process. You can gain access to WIN through specially-accessed computers at work. Before applying for careers at Nissan speak to your Line Manager or ask one of the NMUK Recruitment Team to find out your nearest accessible computer.
Once you are on the WIN homepage you will need to use the ‘search site’ option and type in ‘Internal Job Posting Portal’. The search results will then give you the option to click through to our internal recruitment homepage and get your application started. You will then be able to ‘search openings’ and find the position you wish to apply for. This site supports all our internal positions across Nissan Europe so a quick tip is to narrow the search results to ‘United Kingdom – Sunderland’ from the ‘Site/Location of Position’ list. You will then be able to see all of the current vacancies. If you are struggling with the WIN system at all please do not hesitate to contact us for some help.
On the WIN European Recruitment homepage, you will have the option to create an account, which you will be able to use for future applications. This gives you the option to work on your application and then save it and come back later to finish it off. Once you have an account, you will be able to review and update any information; including personal details, employment history and your CV.
Once you have searched and selected the job you wish to apply for at careers at Nissan, you will then start your application. You will be asked to fill in the relevant information about your education and employment history and also upload a copy of your CV or application form. For positions mainly within production you will be required to complete an application form instead of uploading a CV: This is due to the large number of vacancies that we have. Don’t worry about knowing whether this applies to your application, it will be clearly stated in the internal advert and your team leader or supervisor will be able to provide you with the most recent copy of the application form. Once you submitted your application, will receive a confirmation email to the address you have provided.
Please remember to speak to your supervisor before applying as you will need their approval to continue through the recruitment process. Failure to do this may result in your application being blocked at a later stage.
Once the vacancy has closed, all applications will be reviewed and, if our recruitment team think you could be suitable for the position, you will then progress to the next stage. The selection process will vary depending on the position and level of the job. However, for all careers at Nissan you can expect an interview as part of the selection process.
If you have any questions or queries relating to the vacancy, you can find the relevant contact details for a member of our recruitment team on the internal advert.
Why is the process different for applying internally?
We are always keen to promote internally where possible, and encourage our employees to reach their full potential. By having an internal recruitment process, we are able to identify existing employees more efficiently and consider them for the role. This is particularly crucial for positions with high-volume applications. By having a separate internal system, this also allows us to advertise the role internally prior to its going public and enables us to process your application within our internal time frames.
We use an application form for high volume vacancies as we wish to focus more on internal skills and behaviours that you will already have, and the application form helps highlight these.
