There’s always something new to learn in Press, a shop that offers more variety than any other. From processing raw material into body panels, producing injection-moulded bumpers direct to Paint Shop, supporting the current model vehicle build and using electrophoretic deposition (ED) to coat aftermarket service panels, right through to battery assembly, Press is the place to be for Manufacturing staff who are keen to see as many parts of our process as possible.
You could be operating the co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM) used for dimensional checks, operating presses to achieve output and quality panels or bumpers or carrying out inspections of components in all areas. You might even be one of the team members operating forklifts, assembling batteries, or maintaining quality painted parts throughout the ED process.
Once trained, there are opportunities to be part of the Total Performance Maintenance (TPM) teams, carrying out kaizen-type activity to ensure operations across Press stay at the top of their game.
