Our Quality Technical Support apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to develop and grow both your education and practical experience. You’ll learn new skills and concepts at college, then have the chance to put these into action at the plant. As a member of our Quality Technical Support team, you will investigate the quality of our vehicles and components, working alongside your colleagues to ensure quick analysis of concerns, followed by the development and implementation of solutions. You will also work cross functionally with other departments including Engineering, Production, and Design to guarantee the highest possible quality standards across all our vehicles, ensuring the best possible driving experience for our customers.

Kaizen is a Japanese word that translated into English means “continuous improvement”. At Nissan, Kaizen refers to refining business processes to raise quality standards, cut costs, and reduce wasted time. Working within the Kaizen department, you will support key shop floor improvement activities. On this apprenticeship you’ll split your time between Nissan and a local college to learn the practical and theoretical skills you need to succeed in this innovative and fulfilling role. Our Kaizen apprenticeship is a three-year scheme, during which you’ll gain valuable insight into all aspects of automotive assembly process, including the design and manufacture of ‘Low-Cost Automation’, as well as maintenance of facilities to achieve both quality improvements and cost savings. You’ll also acquire the skills and knowledge required to work as a member of the team responsible for maintaining the facilities and automotive tooling here at Nissan.

This pathway will see you working in either Quality Assurance or on the Final Line, identifying and carrying out vehicle repairs and gaining valuable industry knowledge in repair standards across all parts of the car.

As a Panel Repairer, you’ll be reacting to quality concerns across the plant to maintain vehicle quality and repair standards.

This apprenticeship combines both practical and theoretical skills gaining a valuable insight into all aspects of automotive and manufacturing maintenance and engineering. You will acquire the skills and knowledge to work as a member of the team responsible for Vehicle, Equipment and Manufacturing engineering within Nissan. In the first year of your Engineering Degree apprenticeship, you'll complete off-the-job training at a local college and University; the next 2 years of the apprenticeship will be spent on day release at University and full-time at Nissan. You will have the opportunity to work with the most up-to-date engineering equipment in the industry.
